The DTM defines itself as an international touring car racing series rooted in Germany and it's the oldest esportive competition between Audi and Mercedes-Benz. Both manufacturers compete with several teams each.

DTM has very important drivers such as Timo Scheider (DTM 2009 Champion), Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard (former F1 drivers), Gary Paffett (third driver in McLaren F1 2010 Team), Paul di Resta or the Spaniard Miguel Molina.

The only Spanish round of the DTM 2010 took place at the Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo Circuit on May 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
