Valencia Test, Moto2: Marc Márquez keeps progressing at the Circuit
The Repsol rider takes advantage of the improving conditions at the Ricardo Tormo track to complete a positive test session.
Valencia (11th September 2011).- For the second consecutive day, Marc Márquez rode today at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, in Cheste, gathering kilometres and experience for the decisive final stint of the Motorcycling World Championship. Another productive day in which the Repsol rider completed 65 laps, more than 260 kilometres testing different set-ups and gathering important data with his team to prepare the next few races.
Márquez was able to keep the same line of work he started yesterday and, thanks to the slow improvement of the grip level at the Valencian track, he could evaluate some new parts for the Suter. Together with his team, he found some positive changes for the next races, and also reject some parts that did not work as was expected.
The Repsol rider will complete tomorrow the last day of tests, before focusing on the next championship round, next weekend at the Motorland Aragón Circuit.
"It was a positive day, as the asphalt grip level improved a lot and, under these conditions, we were able to ride much faster and do a good job. We were able to complete many laps and try different improvements brought by Suter. The team is working very well and tomorrow we will keep working in this like, to arrive to Aragón with a lot of data that will be useful for the set-up of the bike".
